[Xen-bugs] [Bug 422] New: Can not boot xen0 kernel on IBM x365 with SMP turned off

http://bugzilla.xensource.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=422

Summary: Can not boot xen0 kernel on IBM x365 with SMP turned off
           Product: Xen
           Version: unstable
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: major
          Priority: P2
         Component: Hypervisor
        AssignedTo: xen-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
        ReportedBy: lge@xxxxxxxxxx

I observed this problem with changeset 7892 when I turned SMP opttion off in the
xen0 kernel config file, while the same xen build and kernel worked fine if I
left the SMP option turned on. I was able to reproduce the problem with the
lastest changeset 7948. I had to do a hardware power cycle for it.

Symptom: Whenever the SMP option is turned off on xen0 kernel config, the kernel
fails to load the SCSI drive.

Harware Info: IBM x365, 4 processors, IBM ServeRAID 7, 8G RAM.

More detailed info can be found in attachments.
