http://bugzilla.xensource.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=412 Summary: 32bit IBM JVM fails on x86_64 Product: Xen Version: unstable Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: Hypervisor AssignedTo: xen-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ReportedBy: kmr@xxxxxxxxxx Using a 32bit IBM JVM in a x86_64 dom0 echos the following error and then hangs: setupLdt: modify_ldt: Invalid argument This behaviour can be replicated by doing a simple "java -version" using the affected JVM. This error does not occur when running the same JVM on a baremetal Linux kernel. Attaching strace to the hung process yields the following messages being generated in a loop: rt_sigprocmask(SIG_UNBLOCK, [ILL TRAP BUS FPE SEGV], ~[KILL USR2 STOP RTMIN RT_1], 8) = 0 --- SIGSEGV (Segmentation fault) @ 0 (0) --- In some cases the machine is now unresponsive (mostly on uniprocessor dom0) and must be reset. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.xensource.com/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. _______________________________________________ Xen-bugs mailing list Xen-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.xensource.com/xen-bugs
