Subject: [XenARM] new project of porting XEN on ARM
It
is quite a long time now that there were no activities in this mailing list.
But, we are now about to start a one-year project
focused
on the porting of XEN on ARM and we have the intention to foster and to speed
up the development
of
this port, especially in the context of realtime OS (execution of a hard
realtime OS with a non-realtime). The project is an academic one which
will allow us to publish our efforts
through
the XEN community and to promote the open development in this area.
Our
research project will hopefully start by September 1st, but until then we will
have to refresh our state-of-the-art on our side regarding the last
development.
In this perspective, I would greatly appreciate that anybody publish any useful
info about ongoing development
We
also aimed at doing a XEN port on the i.MX21ADS infrastructure based on our
previous work (xen-colibri) which was also based upon
the
efforts of George Davis. I guess we will probably work with a common
XEN-enhanced Linux tree in a first step.
