AFAIK, both your guests are working in HVM mode.

For PV mode you should change some VM settings, at least like below (my centos 6.5 pv quests)

       ÂHVM-boot-policy ( RW):

        ÂPV-bootloader ( RW): pygrub

I'm far from an expert, but is your Oracle 6.5 guest HVM or PV? Â

If HVM, then the rpm will be installed but not available for use or detected by XenCenter. Â(And won't do anything useful, for that matter).
