    Hello.

I'd have question about joining a host (which has an AMD Opteron CPU) to a pool with Intel CPUs.

We have a XenServer 6.2 Pool with 3 hosts which have exactly the same Intel CPUs. Now I have an older XenServer 6.1 with a AMD Opteron CPU which I'd like to join to the pool. Obviously I'd update it to version 6.2 prior attempting the join.

Now I'm aware I can't use XenMotion, but all I'd need would be the StorageMotion to move everything on this server to our iSCSI-storage. Stopping the VMs on the old machine and restarting the VMs on the Xenservers with the Intel CPUs would to the trick to move the VMs off this old server? Are there any issues in joining an incompatible CPU to the pool using the --force option?

Thanks,
Thomas
