This looks like my problem, indeed.

Yesterday, I started with a 4.14.8 kernel and connected to my domU
through rdesktop. I used it for 5 minutes and then left my laptop
unattended. When I came back it was at the boot prompt :-(

In the kernel journal, the bug occurred 10 minutes after launching the
domU. And the last entry in the journal is 75s later.
And the last lines in the domU log are:
GNTTAB: MAP XENMAPSPACE_grant_table[19] @ 00000000.f2014000
XENBUS|GnttabExpand: added references [00002600 - 000027ff]

As a side effect, my btrfs root filesystem was lightly corrupted, with
a file not available on the next boot.
And as a side note, I use rdesktop to share files and to be full
screen! But I could live without it since I increased "VNC" to its
maximum (1280x1024) and if I try Samba sharing ;-)

I'll try with the ArchLinux LTS kernel (4.9.71) to see if it is better.

Cheers
Michel
