Try changing this line
> module (hd0,3)/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.32.25 placeholder root=/dev/sda3
to:
module (hd0,3)/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.32.25 placeholder root=/dev/sda3 console=hvc0
